The Oklahoma Association for Pupil Transportation (OKAPT) facilitates quality education by disseminating knowledge and assisting those responsible for safe pupil transportation.
OUR MISSION
The Oklahoma Association for Pupil Transportation is committed to standardizing school bus driver education, training, and licensing across the State of Oklahoma. Through consistent training, professional development, and the promotion of best practices, OKAPT works to elevate the standards of pupil transportation and ensure the highest level of safety, professionalism, and reliability for the students we serve.
OUR ALLIANCE
OKAPT is a strong and unified network of school bus directors, mechanics, drivers, and industry partners who have joined together in a dedicated and strategic effort to support and advance pupil transportation. By working collaboratively, our members share knowledge, resources, and experience to strengthen operations and improve outcomes across districts and organizations statewide.

At the heart of everything we do is our most important responsibility—the children we transport each day. Our commitment to safety, care, and excellence is driven by the understanding that every decision we make directly impacts the well-being of students. This shared purpose fuels our dedication to continuous improvement and reinforces the critical role pupil transportation plays in education.

Due to final preparations for and participation in the 2026 OKAPT Annual Conference & Trade Show (OKAPT ACTS), OKAPT cannot guarantee the timely processing of online training orders submitted between June 1 and June 12, 2026. Please note that no online training orders will be processed during the Annual Conference, June 7–10, 2026.

The voting period for the proposed OKAPT By-Law amendments, revisions, and additions has officially concluded. We are pleased to announce that all proposed changes were approved by the membership.

The OKAPT Board of Directors would like to address several inaccurate and misleading claims that were recently circulated regarding the proposed by-law revisions currently under consideration by the membership.

As we head into the final stretch of the school year, many districts have just a few weeks left—while others still have a little more road ahead. No matter where you are on the calendar, this is the time to stay focused and finish strong.
