OKAPT BY-LAWS

The Bylaws of the Oklahoma Association for Pupil Transportation (OKAPT) serve as the governing framework for the association and provide guidance for its leadership, membership, and operations. These bylaws establish the structure of the organization, define the responsibilities of officers and directors, outline membership classifications, and provide procedures for conducting the business of the association.

As a member-driven organization, OKAPT's bylaws help ensure transparency, consistency, and accountability while supporting the association's mission to advance safe and effective pupil transportation throughout Oklahoma. They also provide the foundation for decision-making, elections, meetings, committees, and other official association activities.

Members are encouraged to review the bylaws regularly to better understand the governance of the association and the policies that guide its operations. Amendments to the bylaws may be proposed and adopted in accordance with the procedures outlined within the document.

This webpage is updated periodically to ensure our membership has convenient access to the governing documents of the association. While every effort is made to keep this page current, occasional delays in updating documents may occur, particularly during busy periods of the school year or times of increased organizational activity. The most current document of the OKAPT Bylaws, as approved by the membership, is available for review and download here
