Kayla Hunt serves as the Transportation Coordinator and Supervisor for Lawton Public Schools. She began her career in the department as a secretary in 2016, where she quickly became a versatile team member, learning the responsibilities of all five secretarial roles and stepping in wherever needed.

In 2020, Kayla was promoted to Bus Driver/Routing Supervisor—a role she embraced during one of the most challenging times in recent history. Her adaptability, resilience, and commitment to service helped her grow into a strong leader within the department.

Kayla believes that transportation plays a critical role in the educational experience, often serving as the first and last point of contact for students each day. Guided by the mindset, “What can I do to positively impact my drivers and monitors so they can be their best for our students?”, she strives to foster a supportive and effective team environment.

Drawing on her experience in both administrative and supervisory roles, Kayla brings a well-rounded perspective to her current leadership position. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and four children. Together, they love visiting the lake, gardening, swimming, and connecting with friends and family.
