OKAPT’s 2025-2026 School Bus Driver of the Year Award

The OKAPT 2025–2026 School Bus Driver of the Year Award recognizes the extraordinary role and responsibility of school bus drivers across Oklahoma.
 
School bus drivers are often the first and last school representative a student sees each day. They serve not only as operators of a vehicle, but as mentors, protectors, leaders, and role models. Their commitment to safety, professionalism, consistency, and care plays a vital role in the educational experience of thousands of students.
 
OKAPT is proud to honor and celebrate an outstanding school bus driver who exemplifies excellence and dedication in pupil transportation during the 2026 OKAPT Annual Conference & Trade Show (ACTS).
 
Eligibility:
  • Nominee must be currently employed as a school bus driver in Oklahoma.
  • Nominees may be from OKAPT member or non-member districts.
  • Both the general public and transportation professionals may submit nominations.
