OKAPT’s 2025-2026 Mechanic of the Year Award

Behind every safe route and every successful school day is a skilled mechanic ensuring that buses are maintained, inspected, and repaired with precision and care. This award honors those individuals who work tirelessly — often behind the scenes — to protect students, drivers, and communities across Oklahoma.
Eligibility:

Nominee must be currently employed in a school transportation maintenance or fleet technician role in Oklahoma.

Nominees may be from OKAPT member districts or non-member districts.

Both the general public and transportation professionals may submit nominations.
