OKAPT 2025-2026 School Bus Monitor of the Year

The OKAPT 2025–2026 School Bus Monitor of the Year Award recognizes the extraordinary role and responsibility of school bus monitors across Oklahoma.
 
School bus monitors play a critical role in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment for students during transportation. They provide supervision, assistance, encouragement, and care — often serving students with specialized needs while supporting drivers in maintaining focus on the road.
 
OKAPT is proud to honor and celebrate an outstanding school bus monitor who demonstrates professionalism, dedication, compassion, and a strong commitment to student safety during the 2026 OKAPT Annual Conference & Trade Show (ACTS).
 
Eligibility:
  • Nominee must be currently employed as a school bus monitor (or aide) in Oklahoma.
  • Nominees may be from OKAPT member or non-member districts.
  • Both the general public and transportation professionals may submit nominations.
