OKAPT’s 2025-2026 Outstanding Service Award

The OKAPT 2025–2026 Outstanding Service Award honors school transportation professionals who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment and longevity in serving Oklahoma’s students.
 
Serving in school transportation is a unique and extraordinary calling. It requires consistency, reliability, leadership, and a deep commitment to student safety. This award recognizes individuals who have dedicated an exceptional number of years to pupil transportation and whose sustained service has made a lasting impact on their department, district, and community.
 
OKAPT is proud to celebrate and honor these individuals during the 2026 OKAPT Annual Conference & Trade Show (ACTS).
 
Eligibility:
  • Nominee must be currently employed or recently retired from a school transportation position in Oklahoma.
  • Nominee may serve in any transportation role (driver, monitor, mechanic, supervisor, director, or support staff).
  • Both the general public and transportation professionals may submit nominations.

Those nominated for Outstanding Service Award have served 20 years or more in the school transportation industry in Oklahoma.  You may only receive the award once per category above.  
 
(For example, someone who receives an award for "25-29 years of service" won't be eligible to receive an award until they qualify for an award for "30-34 years of service")
