OKAPT offers a variety of membership options designed to meet the needs of individuals, school districts, and industry partners. Each membership type is structured to provide meaningful value while ensuring access to key resources, training opportunities, and professional connections. ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP (VOTING MEMBER)

Active Membership (Voting Member)
May be subject to verification by the Board of Directors

Active Membership is designed for individuals who serve in a leadership role within pupil transportation. This membership provides full participation in the organization and a voice in shaping the direction of OKAPT.

Annual Dues: $75.00 per year

Memberships follow a yearly cycle from July 1 through June 30 of the following year. Dues are not prorated, and all memberships expire on June 30 regardless of when registration occurs.

Requirements:

Must be currently employed by a public or non-public school, college, or technical institution.
Must serve in a management position with supervisory responsibilities over pupil transportation (verification may be requested).

Active Members in good standing:

Are entitled to attend all organization meetings
May participate in discussions and organizational activities
Are eligible to hold office on the Board of Directors
Have voting privileges on Association matters

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP (NON-VOTING MEMBER)

Associate Membership (Non-Voting Member)
May be subject to verification by the Board of Directors

Associate Membership is designed for individuals who are involved in or support pupil transportation but do not serve in a supervisory or administrative leadership role.

Annual Dues: $25 per year

Memberships follow a yearly cycle from July 1 through June 30 of the following year. Dues are not prorated, and all memberships expire on June 30 regardless of when registration occurs.

Requirements:

Any individual not eligible for Active Membership who is interested in or associated with pupil transportation, including support staff, technicians, drivers, monitors/attendants, and trainers.
Retired individuals with at least five consecutive years of membership are also eligible.

Associate Members in good standing:

Are entitled to attend all organization meetings
May participate in discussions and organizational activities
Are not eligible to hold office on the Board of Directors
Do not have voting privileges on Association matters

INDUSTRY MEMBERSHIP (NON-VOTING MEMBER)

Industry Membership (Non-Voting Member)
May be subject to verification by the Board of Directors

Industry Membership is designed for businesses and organizations that support and serve the pupil transportation industry.

Annual Dues: $25

Memberships follow a yearly cycle from July 1 through June 30 of the following year. Dues are not prorated, and all memberships expire on June 30 regardless of when registration occurs.

Requirements:
Any business, corporation, or organization associated with transportation, including vendors, consultants, manufacturers, safety organizations, and nonprofit partners.

Industry Members in good standing:

Are entitled to attend all organization meetings
May participate in discussions and organizational activities
Are not eligible to hold office on the Board of Directors
Do not have voting privileges on Association matters

HONORARY MEMBERSHIP

Honorary Membership (Non-Voting Member)
Requires nomination or recommendation to the Executive Board and a majority vote

Honorary Membership is reserved for individuals who have demonstrated outstanding and meritorious service to pupil transportation. This designation recognizes those whose contributions have made a lasting impact on the industry and OKAPT.

Annual Dues: None
Membership Term: Lifetime upon acceptance

Requirements:
Eligibility is determined through nomination or recommendation to the Executive Board and approved by a majority vote at the annual meeting.

May participate in discussions and organizational activities
Are not eligible to hold office on the Board of Directors
Do not have voting privileges on Association matters
