OHP TROOP S-COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE ENFORCEMENT

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) Troop S-Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division is responsible for promoting the safe operation of commercial motor vehicles throughout Oklahoma, including school buses. Through inspections, regulatory enforcement, education, and outreach, Troop S works with school districts, commercial carriers, and transportation professionals to improve highway safety and ensure compliance with state and federal commercial vehicle regulations.

Troop S officers enforce laws related to commercial driver licensing, vehicle safety, size and weight requirements, hazardous materials transportation, and commercial vehicle operations. In addition to enforcement activities, the division provides education and guidance to help transportation professionals understand regulatory requirements and maintain safe, compliant fleets.

By working collaboratively with school districts, the trucking industry, federal partners, and the public, Troop S plays an important role in reducing commercial vehicle crashes and supporting the safe transportation of Oklahoma's students.
