TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
The Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) Transportation Services Division provides leadership, guidance, and oversight for school transportation programs across Oklahoma. Through training, certification, technical assistance, regulatory guidance, and transportation funding administration, OSDE works in partnership with local school districts to promote safe, efficient, and compliant student transportation. As Oklahoma's primary authority for state pupil transportation standards, Transportation Services develops policies and resources that help districts meet state requirements while supporting the safe transportation of students each day.
Transportation Services also administers the state's School Bus Driver Certification Program, School Bus Driving Instructor Certification Program, annual in-service training requirements, transportation reporting, and state reimbursement processes. In addition, the division provides school districts with important forms, manuals, guidance documents, safety resources, and updates regarding state and federal transportation requirements.
